The OFAH supports angler diary programs which provide important information about our recreational fishery.
Lake Erie Sport Fishery Diary
The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources is looking for volunteers to keep records of their fishing trips. Participants are asked to keep diaries in their tackle box and complete a diary page EACH time they fish. In the fall, participants will be sent a pre-paid envelope for them to return their diaries. Later, their diary will be returned, along with a personalized summary of their fishing activities.
All individuals who return completed diaries by November 30th will be eligible for a draw of 1 of 6 filleting knives.
Individuals who participate in the program for three years will receive a certificate of appreciation as well as certificate seals there after for each year they participate. The information you provide will help us understand our recreational fisheries and contribute to the following reports:
