The VOICE of Anglers and Hunters since 1928

OFAH/OPG Travelling TackleShare is coming to Niagara Peninsula

INVITATION TO ALL MEDIA

This weekend, aspiring young anglers who would like to try fishing but aren’t sure how to get started, can head to two events to borrow fishing gear and learn how to fish for free. The OFAH/OPG Travelling TackleShare program will be at Selkirk Provincial Park on Saturday, and at the annual Kids Fishing Derby organized by the Port Colborne & District Conservation Club on Sunday.

The OFAH/OPG TackleShare crew will have everything young anglers need to safely cast out a line, including rods, reels, tackle, bait and personal floatation gear. The team will also have an interactive educational display, which includes introductory fishing instruction information on invasive species, and lessons on aquatic habitat and conservation.

Visit www.tackleshare.com for details.

Travelling TackleShare is an initiative of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH) and is proudly sponsored by Ontario Power Generation (OPG).

Both programs are designed to break down the barriers that keep new and young anglers from getting out on the water, and to help youth experience the fun and challenge of fishing. Both programs are sponsored by OPG.
