Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters Have Received an Ontario Trillium Foundation Grow Grant

WHAT: On Thursday Jan. 25, 2018 at 10:45 a.m., Peterborough MPP Jeff Leal will be at St. Catherine Catholic Elementary School as part of an event to recognize the Ontario Trillium Foundation Grow Grant recently awarded to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH). This three-year grant will help the Lake Ontario Atlantic Salmon Restoration Program grow and improve our classroom hatchery program in schools in Durham Region and Northumberland County beginning with the 2019 season.

Minister Leal and Ontario Trillium Foundation volunteer Roy Wood will attend the event to formally recognize the grant, present a plaque, and see the delivery of 100 Atlantic Salmon eggs to one of the program’s longest participating schools.

Angelo Lombardo, Executive Director of the OFAH, will speak about the Lake Ontario Atlantic Salmon Restoration Program, its classroom hatcheries, and the impact this grant will have on advancing the program.
