Town of Atikokan – Discharge of Firearms Bylaw

Attention OFAH Member – Notice – Upcoming Public Meeting

Proposed Discharge of Firearms Bylaw

Please be advised that on Monday, March 6, the Town of Atikokan will be holding a public meeting to discuss the proposed draft discharge of firearms bylaw.   The meeting will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion located at 115 O’Brien Street in Atikokan.  The meeting will start at 6:00 p.m.

The revised discharge of firearms bylaw, which the OFAH has been actively involved with, would create new bow hunting opportunities in areas of the Township.

We would appreciate and welcome any OFAH member or fellow hunter who would be able to attend the meeting in support of any proposed amendments that would allow for any additional hunting opportunities.

If you are unable to attend this meeting but wish to learn more, we urge you to send an email to angela.sharbot@atikokan.ca (Angela Sharbot, CAO/Clerk, Town of Atikokan).  Comments will be received up until Monday March 13, 2017.

We would also respectfully ask that you copy OFAH head office on your email at brian_mcrae@ofah.org (Brian McRae, zone/member and club services liaison).

We appreciate your support and assistance on this matter.
