Honda Canada generates support for OFAH conservation volunteers

The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters and Honda Canada have renewed a conservation partnership that brings more support for the volunteers who champion stream and fisheries restoration efforts in Ontario.

In 2017, Honda and the OFAH provided new Honda generators to several volunteer-run fish hatcheries that raise and stock fish (species such as Walleye, Brook trout and Chinook salmon) in Ontario public lakes and rivers. This year, the Honda and OFAH partnership will provide Honda water pumps and other Honda products to more community hatcheries that are in need of power equipment upgrades.

“Honda Canada is committed to help members of the OFAH make a difference for local fisheries improvement and habitat restoration efforts. As a company that is inspired by hands-on and in-the-field environmental initiatives, Honda Canada is investing in OFAH fish and wildlife programs and is proudly featured as a special conservation partner in upcoming OFAH events and campaigns,” said James Marchand, assistant vice president, Motorcycle, ATV & Power Equipment at Honda Canada.

Until December 31, 2018, Honda Canada is also rewarding OFAH members’ conservation commitment with exclusive discounts on Honda ATV’s, Honda Side-by-Sides, Honda Marine and power equipment. See in-store for details.

“Loyalty is the make of great companies as well as great outdoor organizations like ours,” said Robert Pye, OFAH Manager of Business Development and Corporate Messaging. “Honda loyalty is found in the heart of rural and northern Ontario where family outdoor participation and dedication to our natural resources are a way of life. The OFAH is pleased to partner with Honda, a company that is proud to support our outdoor traditions and the hard-working volunteers who give back to the environment.”

Since 1928, conservation goals have been achieved through OFAH membership, donations and volunteer hours. The OFAH is a registered Canadian charity driven by a grassroots determination to support fish and wildlife management, restoration, research and habitat enhancement.
