Turkey reports due by June 14

Wild turkey hunters and anyone who purchased a licence must submit their mandatory spring turkey hunter report by June 14.

Wild turkey hunters, including anyone who purchased a licence — even if they didn’t hunt — must submit their mandatory spring turkey hunter report by June 14.

The information gathered by this and other hunter reports is important in the management of wildlife management in Ontario, officials reminded.

Hunters who fail to report will face penalties, including a $25 surcharge applied to the next Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) product purchased (such as a tag, licence, or application.) A $50 surcharge will apply to consecutive failures after July 1. Subsequent consecutive failures to report for the same species will also incur a $50 surcharge until the hunter has submitted a report for that species on time.
