A new exhibit honouring the history of conservation officers is now open at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre (CBHC) in Sault Ste. Marie.

An opening ceremony for the Ontario CO History exhibit was held June 19 with representatives of the Ontario Conservation Officer Association, Ministry of Natural Resources, and Ranger program on hand.

The display also marks the start of a public awareness campaign. It is not permanent — a smaller travelling version will be taken to small museums throughout the province for at least 2026,

Ontario Conservation Officer Association history committee member and retired CO Don Weltz said.

The CBHC is located at 50 Pim Street in Sault Ste. Marie. For more on it or the display, visit bushplane.com, or contact Collier at 705-945-6242 ext.203 or mcollier@bushplane.com
