Ask a CO: On the NitroFire

A reader asks if the Traditions-manufactured NitroFire is considered a muzzleloading gun legal to use during muzzleloading seasons.

Q: Ontario’s hunting regs define a muzzleloading gun as a gun that is loaded through the muzzle. In 2020, Traditions released the NitroFire, which loads the sabot from the muzzle and the FireStick through the breech. Is this gun considered legal for use during big game muzzleloader seasons in Ontario?

Gregg Fabris, Sudbury

A: Yes, the Traditions NitroFire is legal for use during seasons that allow muzzleloading guns.
