The May 2025 solunar calendar is now available! Get the dates and times when fish and wildlife will be most active this month.

Dark green: Days when fish and game are most active in May 2025
Light green: Days when fish and game are more active than usual in May 2025

OFAH key date reminder:

May 1: Bear season opens; walleye and pike opener FMZ 14
May 3: Walleye and pike opener FMZ 20
May 10: Walleye and pike general opener southern Ontario
May 16: Walleye and pike opener FMZ 12
May 17: Walleye general opener northern Ontario

Major AM/PM: Daily times when fish and animals are likely to be most active. Periods also last two hours, beginning at listed time.

Also, to get appropriate sunrise and sunset times for your area, visit the Government of Canada’s weather website.

Reminder: Check your outdoors card for expiry date and renew if needed.
