ISAP renews commitment

The partnership between the MNR and OFAH Foundation to deliver Ontario’s Invading Species Awareness Program (ISAP) will continue into 2028.

The long-standing partnership between the MNR and the OFAH Foundation to deliver Ontario’s Invading Species Awareness Program will continue into 2028.

This renewed partnership enables the OFAH Foundation to continue tackling the complex issue of invasive species from prevention to management while collaborating with communities and stakeholders.

Key projects being delivered include invasive species reporting via the Invading Species Hotline (1-800-563-7711) and Early Detection and Distribution Mapping System (eddmaps.org), educating anglers and boaters to Clean, Drain, Dry their boats, and supporting provincial efforts to monitor and control priority aquatic invasive species.

“For over 33 years, the MNR and OFAH have worked together to protect Ontario’s ecosystems to ensure they are healthy and resilient now and in the future,” ISAP Coordinator Alison Morris said. “We’re proud to continue this important work for another three years.”
