Ask an expert: Remington 1100 skeet

A reader asks Classic Gear Columnist Ken Doherty, “Did you know Remington also made three-gun sets, including the 1100 Skeet?”

Q: I enjoyed “Remington 1100” in the June 2023 issue but did you know Remington also made three-gun sets, including the 1100 Skeet? Here is a photo of mine. Gerald Catt Classic Gear columnist Ken Doherty responds: Thanks for your response. It is exactly why I so enjoy writing my articles and responding to letters. It gives me the opportunity to expand my research. I was able to dig a little deeper and came across the sale of a Model 1100 Skeet Centennial Edition on its own that sold for $450 in 2019 at an Ontario auction. But, I have not come across another three-gun set like yours. I would anticipate that the set of all three together in good condition would be worth $2,000 or more to a collector. It is truly unique!
