High School Fishing Derby

Registration for the 37th Annual OFAH Under the Lock Fishing Derby is now open

On Thursday April 30, up to 1,000 high school students are invited to participate in our second high school fishing derby. For this event, up to 500 trout will be stocked for instant prizes as well as the chance to catch all remaining grand prize and sponsored tagged fish. Lunch will be provided for students.

Pre-registration (hold your spaces) closes December 15, 2025.
Payment (to confirm spaces) due March 1, 2026.

Open for high school students only
( “All Ages” fishing will be closed from 7am to 3pm on April 30)

Spaces Left

For $30, each student receives:

Lunch (Hot dog, chips, granola bar, and drink);
5 hours of fishing
OFAH branded lure and OFAH fish poster
Ontario OUT of DOORS digital magazine subscription
Plus the chance to catch 500 tagged fish to win instant, grand, or sponsored cash prizes! (limit of two tagged fish prizes per student).

At no cost, each coach receives:

Starter bait package (waxworms, salmon eggs, PowerBait Trout Bait) to divvy amongst your students
Derby fishing pass (not eligible for prizes during high school event)
OFAH ball cap
OFAH membership
