Seeking your feedback on game tags!

The ministry is always looking to improve hunting and fishing in Ontario, both through effective management and by creating products and services to serve you better.

In 2019, we moved to the new Fish and Wildlife Licensing Service, which has given you the ability to buy and print licences 24/7, without leaving your home, while also maintaining your ability to purchase licences and tags from outside issuers.

Since that time, millions of anglers and hunters have taken advantage of the new system, creating accounts and successfully printing over 325,000 game tags every year!

As part of our commitment to giving you the best possible experience, we’re going to be asking you for input on how we can serve you better.

To get your feedback we’re going to be reaching out in a few different ways later this year to ask questions about:

  • where and when you want to be able to purchase licences and tags;
  • what types of products you want (e.g., paper tags, durable stock (laminated) tags);
  • what method you prefer to receive your tag (e.g., print at home, mailed to you);
  • what you prefer to carry with you while enjoying hunting and fishing in Ontario; and
  • your overall experience with the licencing system.

How can you help?

  1. Watch for open callouts for feedback through our @FishWildlifeON social media channels on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Tell your fishing and hunting friends to subscribe to email notifications in their Fish and Wildlife Licensing Service account so they can contribute to the discussion.
