Approved Trackers List for 2023 – Big Blood Trackers of Ontario

1. How do I find a tracker in my area? – Click and view the list attached to this post and pinned at the top of our FB page. Find the tracker on the list that serves your WMU. Text your tracker before you call. Some trackers will take texts only. Respect that please. We’re hunters too and may be on a treestand.
2. How long should I wait to track? – That will depend on a number of factors. Speak to an approved tracker for advice. However, if you’re not 100% sure where your animal is, then DO NOT track first. Contact a tracker to help you, as a trained dog that is not confused by a contaminated hit site will have a much better chance of recovering your animal than if you transferred scent everywhere with your boots. This is critical.
3. Be Honest Please – Your tracker will ask you a series of questions, please be 100% honest, as this will help us increase the chances of a successful recovery.
4. What does this cost? – It’s free, however, we welcome donations to help pay for travel costs, training, and vet bills.
