OFAH calls for PAL extensions to deal with backlog
The ever-growing backlog of Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) renewals across the country is of serious concern for the OFAH and the firearms community as a whole.
While we understand the delays have been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have officially called on government to implement temporary measures that will allow for users who are currently caught up in the backlog the opportunity to continue to enjoy their hunting, trapping and sport shooting activities. These activities are incredibly valuable as it relates to the well-being of many Canadians – and now, perhaps more than ever, they provide an much-needed escape from the daily challenges we face, both individually and as a society during these difficult times.
