Every so often, a partner program comes along that I can talk about not just as OFAH’s executive director, but as a member and a customer. Avenir Energy is one of those.
Our family heats with propane, so we made the switch and from our experience, it was one of those decisions that just made sense right away. Supporting partners is important, but what got my attention first was the value. With the switch-and-save offer, I received my first 750 litres free, which worked out to nearly a $500 credit. Add in the lower tank rental fee, the OFAH member propane discount, and it didn’t take long to know this was going to make a real difference.

I’ve also really come to appreciate the tank monitoring and customer portal. Being able to check levels, deliveries, bills, and service details without making extra calls is just practical. I didn’t have that with my previous provider, and it’s one of those features you don’t realize you’ll value until you have it.
Reliability mattered to me too, especially through the winter. We had no issues getting propane when we needed it, and that peace of mind counts for a lot when supply issues and delivery delays made headlines last winter in Ontario. On top of that, Avenir offers service support for propane appliances, which adds another layer of confidence.
