Heritage Day — a look back leads to a look ahead

Over the past few weeks, OFAH promotional posts for National Hunting, Trapping and Fishing Heritage Day have been a look back. But on actual Heritage Day, we look ahead.

Nostalgic photographs pulled from old family albums should make us wonder what photos our outdoors future will someday post. We believe that the new-age portrayal of hunting, trapping and fishing will accurately show the kind of inclusivity and diversity that our country, and the OFAH, will always strive to welcome.  Hunting, fishing and trapping includes everyone.

As we celebrate Heritage Day, consider a few of the following initiatives you may take to keep our outdoors heritage strong.

Take a friend hunting or fishing.

Introduce someone to a local Hunter Education Instructor or the new online Ontario Hunter Education course.

Join the OFAH.

Make a conservation donation or volunteer for local outdoors project.

Happy Heritage Day from the OFAH.
