Every Wednesday, the OFAH Catch the Ace winner’s announcement tells a story about people like you – kind and caring supporters of nature and our outdoors way of life.

It’s a story that underscores outstanding loyalty!

In both CTA series, about 60 lucky winners so far have shared their wonderfully diverse outdoors backgrounds and unique OFAH connections. In week 37, however, the story is told of a Catch the Ace weekly winner who perhaps most of all defines what OFAH membership truly means. Last spring, 75-year-old Elgin native Raymond Hayes called in his grandson’s first wild turkey, and every fall he cheers on his son and daughter’s deer hunting skills. He leads three generations of Hayes family hunting and fishing participation — including his two grandkids who are apprentice hunters. Raymond carries his OFAH membership in his heart. He has been an OFAH member for 40 years.  Yes, 40 years!! Raymond’s OFAH support has been strong since 1981.

Today, this proud and distinguished conservationist has a $13,394 cheque coming from the OFAH to support his pension budget — and with part of that, Raymond said he going to finally buy himself a muzzleloader. Card 46 — the Jack of Spades — is Raymond’s salute to his year of birth. In true conservation fashion, it seems Raymond left more of the opportunity for others, although he is still playing in week 37 as the Jackpot now sits at $424,000 but accelerating fast to the half a million-dollar figure.

GET IN ON TRUCKS AND BUCKS

Raymond is not done though trying to win OFAH lottery cash this week. Remember that on Friday morning another Trucks & Bucks early bird winner of $1,500 will be announced. The early bird draw deadline is Thursday night. CLICK HERE to get in on the draw before it’s too late
