City of Thorold – Discharge of Firearms By-law

Attention OFAH Member – City of Thorold Public Information Centre

Please be advised that tonight, Wednesday, December 6, the City of Thorold will be hosting a public information session to discuss the revised draft discharge of firearms bylaw and map.   The meeting (6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.) will be held at Thorold City Hall, located at 3540 Schmon Parkway.

We would appreciate and welcome any OFAH member, or fellow hunter, trapper, and/or recreational shooter who would be able to attend the meeting.

For your convenience, you can download the revised draft discharge of firearms bylaw and map for your review.  As you will see, the City of Thorold has substantially amended their draft bylaw to reflect the comments and concerns received from the OFAH and its members.

The intent is to bring this draft bylaw forward to Thorold City Council on December 19 for adoption.

If you have any additional comments and/or concerns, please take the opportunity to voice them at tonight’s meeting, or forward them directly to Donna Delvecchio, City Clerk, City of Thorold at Donna.Delvecchio@thorold.com.

We would also respectfully ask that you copy OFAH head office on your email at brian_mcrae@ofah.org (Brian McRae, zone/member and club services liaison).

We appreciate your continued support and assistance on this matter.
